Six-Mailbox Support Rebuild After RV Impact
A roadside mailbox structure serving six mailboxes was destroyed after being struck by an RV. The replacement was rebuilt from solid pressure-treated lumber and anchored with a deep concrete foundation.

Damage
Original structure destroyed.
The original wood support was knocked over and heavily damaged. Because it carried six individual mailboxes, the replacement needed a long, rigid horizontal span and strong roadside anchoring.
Rebuild scope
- Removed and assessed the damaged support
- Rebuilt the structure using solid pressure-treated lumber
- Dug replacement supports approximately 3 feet deep
- Set the support in a concrete foundation
- Built the frame to carry six mailboxes
- Comparable rebuilds would normally be scoped as roughly 1–2 working days of field labor, excluding concrete cure time and unusual site conditions
Finished result
The rebuilt support uses two pressure-treated posts, each set approximately 3 feet deep in its own concrete footing. The damaged original structure was removed completely before rebuilding.
